Attica is a village in the Western New York region of New York State. It is located approximately forty miles east of downtown Buffalo. The village is an anomaly in that it is located in two different towns and two different counties. Most of the village is within the Town of Attica in Wyoming County. A small portion of the village is within the Town of Alexander in Genesee County., the village population was estimated at 2,500.
