Busti (pronounced bust-eye) is a town in Chautauqua County, New York. It is one of the most populated towns in the county. AS of December of 2021, the population in town was 7,485. Busti was first settled in 1811 and formally founded in 1823. The town includes the Village of Lakewood, which is the town’s main population area. Busti also has a number of hamlets, such as Ashville, Ashville Bay, Boomertown, Cottage Park, Loomises, Maple Point, Shermans Bay, and Vukote.
