Clarence is a town in Erie County, New York. It is located approximately twenty miles northeast of downtown Buffalo., the town population was estimated at 33,100. The town was named after Prince William, Duke of Clarence, King George III’s third son. Clarence was incorporated in 1808 as the first town established in Erie County.
