Coldspring is a town on the New York-Pennsylvania border. It is located in Cattaraugus County, New York, southwest of the City of Salamanca., the town population was approximately 648. Coldspring was first settled in 1818 and formally established as a town in 1837. Its neighboring towns are Napoli to the north, South Valley and Randolph to the west, Salamanca and Red House to the east, and Corydon Township, Pennsylvania, to the south. The town is split in half by the Allegheny River which runs diagonal through the town center. The main population area of the town is the Hamlet of Steamburg.
