Freedom is the name of a town in Cattaraugus County, New York. It is in the Western New York region, around fifty miles south-east of the City of Buffalo., Freedom’s population was estimated to be 2,378. The town covers roughly forty square miles. The town area was initially settled in 1811. Several communities and hamlets make up Freedom, such as Camp Scouthaven, Elton, Elton Station, Fairview, and Sandusky.

County Route 90 is another large road that traverses the town on its western side, running north-south into the hamlet of Elton.
