Geneseo is a town in Livingston County, New York. It is located approximately thirty miles southwest of Rochester and is considered part of the Finger Lakes region. The eastern side of the town is the shore of Conesus Lake. Within the town is the Village of Geneseo. It is the main population area of the town and the location of most businesses. The town also encompasses the hamlets of Sleggs Landing, Eagle Point, Sackets Harbor, Wadsworth Cove, Long Point, Long Point Cove, and Cottonwood Cove., the total combined population was estimated at 10,200.
