Hamburg is a village in Erie County, New York. It is located in the southeast portion of a town that goes by the same name, Hamburg. , the village had a population of approximately 9,700. Similar to the town, the village gets its name after the City in Germany. Hamburg is considered a suburb of Buffalo and is approximately fifteen miles south of the city downtown area.
