Humphrey is a rural town in Cattaraugus County, New York. It is in the Western New York region and approximately twenty miles north of the New York-Pennsylvania border. , the town’s population was approximately 684. The town was settled in 1815 and was named after Charles Humphrey – Speaker of the New York State Assembly at that time. There are only two Hamlets found in town, Humphrey and Humphrey Center.
