New Albion is a town in Cattaraugus County, New York. It is considered part of the Western New York region and is around an hour south of Buffalo., the New Albion population was estimated at 2,000. The Village of Cattaraugus is the town’s main population area. The area was first settled in 1818 and formally established as a town in 1830. New Albion was named after a town in Orleans County named Albion, which was where the settlers originated from.
