Sheldon is a town in Wyoming County, New York. It is located approximately thirty miles southeast of the city of Buffalo. The town covers 47 square miles, most of it being farmland. The town encompasses the hamlets of Dutch Hollow, Frinks Corners, North Seldon, Persons Corners, Plants Corner, Sheldon Center, Strykersville, Toziers Corner, and Varysburg., the town population was estimated at 2,300.
