South Dayton is a village in Cattaraugus County, New York. It is considered part of the Western New York region and is around fifty miles south of Buffalo. The village is within the Town of Dayton. South Dayton serves as the main population of the town and the location of most town offices., the village population was approximately 500. South Dayton is also referred to as “Pine Valley” and this name was also used for the local school district. South Dayton incorporated in 1915. The village has a total area of one square mile.
