Stockton is a rural town in Chautauqua County, New York. It rests just north-east of Lake Chautauqua. The area is considered part of the Western New York region and Stockton is roughly an hour south of Buffalo. As of January of 2022, the town population was 2,588. The town was named after Richard Stockton, one of the signers of the Declaration of Independence.
