Depew is a village in Erie County, New York, located between the towns of Cheektowaga and Lancaster. It’s boundaries extend into both towns. As of August of 2021 the village population was 14, 898. Depew has a total area of just five square miles and is ten miles east of the City of Buffalo. It is one of the largest villages in New York State. After being founded in 1892 the village saw rapid growth due to it being a major train hub for the area.
