Wellsville is a town in Allegany County, New York. It is considered part of the Southern Tier region of New York State and consists mostly of rural, hilly, forestland. Located in western part of the town is the Wellsville Municipal Airport, and in the center of the town, is a village that goes by the same name, Wellsville. , the town population was approximately 7,100, with a little over half the population belonging to the village of Wellsville.
