Collins is a town in Erie County, New York. It is located approximately thirty miles south of downtown Buffalo and is considered part of the Western New York region. The area was first settled in 1821 by the Quakers. The town has a total land mass of forty-eight square miles, most of it being farmland., the estimated population was approximately 5,900.
