Lyndon, New York
Lyndon is a small and rural town in Cattaraugus County, New York. , the town’s estimated population was 750. Lyndon was initially settled in 1806 and later officially settled in 1829. The town consists of thirty-three square miles and rests on the Cattaraugus-Allegany County border. Lyndon is considered part of the Western New York region. It is around 60 miles southeast of Buffalo and around twenty-five miles northeast of the City of Salamanca.
To the east of Lyndon is the town of New Hudson, to the north is Farmersville, to the south is Ischua, and to the west is Franklinville. There are only two hamlets that make up Lyndon. These are Elgin, located in the center of town and named after the town’s previous name, and Rawson, found near the east town line. The town offices, including the justice court, are located in the neighboring town of Cuba.
