North Collins is a town in Erie County, New York It is located roughly twenty-five miles south of Buffalo and is considered part of the Western New York region. The town encompasses a Village of North Collins and the hamlets of Langford, Lewtons, Marshfield, New Oregon, and Shirley. NYS-249 spans east and west through the town’s north half, connecting the town’s two primary vertical roads (US-62 and NYS-75).
The Village of North Collins employs their own Police Department. Officers of this station patrol the village roads. They are authorized to conduct traffic stops for traffic violations. The remaining town area is monitored by “Troop A” of the New York State Police and the Erie County Sheriff’s Department. Any ticket issued in North Collins is answerable to the North Collins Town Court.
