Barre is a town in Orleans County, New York. It is located around thirty miles west of downtown Rochester and around forty miles east of Niagara Falls. The town encompasses the hamlets of Barre Center, Burma Woods, South Barre, and West Barre. , the total estimated population was 1,926.
