Traffic Tickets in LeRoy

LeRoy traffic tickets are made answerable to the LeRoy Town Court (Town of LeRoy Justice Court). The court adjudicates tickets that originate in the town and village. The LeRoy Justice Court is relatively busy as it handles a lot of traffic tickets. A significant portion of Interstate 90 (New York State Thruway) runs east and west across the northern part of town. It is two lanes in each direction with a large shoulder and grassy median. The speed limit is 65 miles per hour. There is also part of the I-490, which brings motorists between downtown Rochester and the Thruway. The I-90 and the I-490 are patrolled exclusively by the New York State Police. Speeding is a very common charge on I-90.

Traffic stops are conducted on local towns and streets as well. One of the main roads in town is the New York State Route 19 (Lake Road). It runs north-south and provides access to I-90 and the village of LeRoy. In the village, it intersects New York State Route 5 (Main Road). NYS-5 runs east and west. Heading east from the village, NYS-5 brings you to the local LeRoy Airport.

There is no town police department in LeRoy. Most motorists that are stopped in LeRoy are not from the area, whether elsewhere in the state or from another state. Such motorists often make the error of just pleading guilty to the charges in the ticket. They assume nothing can be done anyway or this will not impact their license. These are costly mistakes. Your ticket can be reduced even if you committed the alleged violation. There is no need to present a defense. Furthermore, this can be done without you having to appear in court personally. Your attorney can appear in court in your place as necessary. If you are from out-of-state, the violation will most likely transfer to your home state and appear on your record there. It will most likely cause increases in your insurance rates. However, do not fret. The Benjamin Goldman Law Office can help.
