Pendleton is a town in Niagara County, New York. It is considered part of the Western New York Region and is approximately twenty miles east of Niagara Falls., the estimated town population was 6,500. Pendleton was settled in 1827 and until recently was a mostly agricultural town. The town consists of several hamlets such as Beach Ridge, Hoffman, Mapleton, Pendleton Center, and Wendelville. The Erie Canal splits the town in two as it runs past the principal hamlet of Pendleton.

County Route 60 (Tonawanda Creek Road) runs parallel to the Erie Canal along the southern town boundary and crosses over as the road approaches the principal hamlet of Pendleton.
